This one’s for you and your awesome dog paintings. These guys used to come to fairs with me and the ultimate sculptor’s compliment I ever recieved was from passing dogs, who would bark ferociously at them and then look very very confused.

I can just imagine what was going on in those passing dogs’ heads: 1.) “Why won’t he play along?” or 2.) “Daaaang - he’s good. I didn’t faze him a bit.”

Yeah, it was hilarious… They’d be all uppity, yapping at my ‘dogs’ ’til they got up close enough to sniff and then this totally non-plussed expression—”huh? what’s wrong with this dog, it’s not budgin’ and it smells like a rock!?”
Poor babies.
