Tools of the Tiger.

Saturday, September 30th, 2006

‘Karma sometimes manifests very directly. We eat a meal and we feel full. We turn the key and the car starts. A more subtle interconnectedness has to do with our thoughts, actions and words. One word too many and our friend blows his lid. Two little words, and we’ve married somebody. We never know at exactly what moment one action or word is going to trigger another, but everything we do sets something else in motion. This is why the tiger places its paws carefully.’

‘I love to flirt with police when they’re harrassing me’…

Thursday, September 28th, 2006

…said the young punker boy with the longass stocking cap and a buttload of silver sticking out of his face.

I found his attitude refreshing, considering that his companion kept reiterating: ‘I hate ‘em! they had no authority to fuck with me when I wasn’t doin’ nothin’, I wanna beat their heads in!’.

Ah… The Ave. Such a breath of cityfresh air.

Packing, packing, packing…

Can’t wait to be UNpacking in my pretty new home, with my awesome new housemates!

Soon, so soon.

Midnight silliness

Tuesday, September 26th, 2006

The shit has hit my fan
enough to know
you just chop it to bits
and keep on blowing.

Hot and wired

Sunday, September 24th, 2006

Skin prickles,
head throbs.
Hot and wired,
sweet sparks
fly tonight.

Such magnificent bounty!
bursting incandescent,
filling me up,
more than
I can possibly contain.

Burning with delight or,
perhaps, fever caught
jumping the fence
to bring my sick neighbor
birthday turtles.

Lay down girl,
lay down, child.
Let your head explode
into the welcoming arms
of the velvet night.

Another incredible night at the Little Red Studio. J-Sin and I debued with the poetry posse, reading our poems for the first time. I was so pleased with how flawlessly it went, since it was also my first time speaking my poetry from memory.

Thank you Brandi, my gorgeous mermaid… Love the way you did your hair up in waves and shells and the dazzling irridescent earrings(she made herself) so perfectly matching the metallic paint.

Beautiful.

‘If you’re married, do you ever stop working?’

Thursday, September 21st, 2006

said my client today.

I think it was a compliment. Or at least I decided to take it that way, though perhaps the pup was being saucy. He’d never had a massage before and seemed to be enjoying himself immensely.

I told him I wasn’t(married), but I tended to date people who give as well as they get.

Silly poem

Wednesday, September 20th, 2006

Gather it,
squeeze it,
bend it to your will.

Shape it, round,
smooth and taut.
Push it up against your palm.

Smack
’til it whimpers for release
and then…

Deny you had anything to do with it.

More pretties…
