I painted Sophia and David for their fire show at the studio last night. It was an incredible act-with four bhutto mud dancers attacking the stage, stealing fire from them… Didn’t get pictures of that last night(no cameras during performance), but snapped a few of the blazing duo in the dressing room.

Aha, but last time they performed this, Nick(the official photographer) shot some spectacular ones in the studio:

Poor cold, ravening beasties.

They got theirs in the end though. Fire for the clay people! Woohoo! It was all very Promethean, scarey and delicious.

Had a rockin’ studio last night… My new friend Kristy came to be my canvas(waiting for permission on the fabulous pics), spun her fire hoop, just happened to have a didgeridoo in her car at the perfect moment and wowed everyone with her gorgeous radiant presence.

She also brought the killer anime heroine get up that you see above-which just happened to match my brand spanking(pun intended) new black and blue flogger!

Sam: ‘OHMYGOD-It’s EVIL!’

Guess that’s just what happens on a dark and stormy afternoon when it’s too damn torrential out to do much of anything but sit around and mess with your favorite people.

Halloween at the Fremont troll… It was a bit slow ’til the jugglers and skeleton samba dancers showed up-then we were frightfully happy.

:)

Unfortunately, the dancer pics didn’t come out… They were truly amazing in their black bodysuits with flourescent skeletons painted on, wild raffia hair and intoxicating movements. The band was great too.

And afterwards we all got to troop back to David’s place and watch Firefly. All in all, twas an excellent Halloween evening.

Bus quote of the day

Friday, November 3rd, 2006

‘I’ve decided to treat people’s music like I’d treat their parents: Don’t piss on it and give it a chance.’

The afternoon 71 was deluged by the usual gaggle of yakkity teens… Standing room only, the boy was flirting wryly(and it’s a rare teenager who can pull off wry flirtation) with the girl sitting next to me, listening to blues on her wee ipod gadget.
