Pandora, my favorite online music source, is observing a Day of Silence to warn us about the plight of internet radio stations.
‘Ignoring all rationality and responding only to the lobbying of the RIAA, an arbitration committee in Washington DC has drastically increased the licensing fees Internet radio sites must pay to stream songs. Pandora’s fees will triple, and are retroactive for eighteen months! Left unchanged by Congress, every day will be like today as internet radio sites start shutting down and the music dies.’

Yeah, good luck with that.
Only 5% of the American people, liberal and conservative alike, support the piece of crap immigration bill congress is ramming down our throats but they simply shut off their phones and tell us to kiss their asses.
If you think they give a rat’s ass about your internet music over fat donations from RIAA, well… like I said, good luck with that.
It’s time for term limits. If a president can only sit in office for 8 years max, I see no reason why a senator should get more.

Well, when I called, I was told my rep was already supporting the Internet Radio Equality Act-so hurray! I know, I know, I live in the organically grown Pacific NW bubble, but I can still pray for, and call for, justice on a grand scale.
The progress may be gradual, even to the point of seeming non-existent at times, but it’s better than throwing our hands up in despair and blindly drinking lattes while the greedy rats in charge make off with the entire pie.

I know. I still think nobody has any business being in a position of that kind of power for 30 or 40 years like some senators.

I certainly agree. Oh, and you should see Sam’s comics lately-he’s absolutely gone ape over guns-amazing detail, knowledge and design skilz, for a 9 year old.
