Hehe.. The TV is just an ugly piece of furniture to me and Angie and Jen do nothing for me...

Now if it was Maggie Gyllenhaal and Audrey Tautou, I'd buy the popcorn. :)

Sad, but true. The part that's even more sad though is that they're just playing to their audience. More people care about how snarky Simon is on Idol than what our elected assholes are up to.

Personally I could care less about crap like Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston, and Angelina Jolie.

Unless (naturally!) Angelina and Jen hook up and there's hidden camera footage :)

I'm not too worried, Grau. Organic food has become pretty damn popular and with places like Whole Foods-even 'big business' in it's own right. Plus, according to the tracking site: http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h111-875 this bill has only just been referred to the committee and thus has quite a way to go before it can even begin to hope to attempt to become law.

As to the media, have they EVER been useful? Why report on something as prosaic as food and law, when darling Gwyneth was wearing a sheer top? OR so-and-so left American Idol? Or, 'Oh look, there's a kitten up a tree!'

Thanks for the link Zan. I'm posting that as well. I'd don't care what anyone's political views are, this is just a major load of crap.

I can't resist mentioning, however, that if this would have been going on 4 or 5 months ago on Bush's watch, the mainstream media would have been all over it and screaming for blood (and rightly so).

Sadly, it seems that the media has put some serious blinders since Jan 20th.
