I’ll be bodypainting and showing my art at Utilikilts for the first thursday artwalk in October!
SO pysched! I’ve got a couple shoots this week with an amazing photographer, Fedora El Morro, with two of my favorite models, Rita and Courtnee, to feature in the show.

Had a lovely dinner with my friends Rita and Ben, my mom and teh Samster. Mmmm…. Porkchops simmered in plum-nectarine-blueberry sauce with shitake baked rice(recipe courtesy of my awesome friend Sharon who is about to come out with her very own cookbook!), garden collards and garden salad. And a veritable plethora of desserts! I made a blackberry cobbler with some very fine and ginormous berries my mom brought, Rita brought two kinds of lemon birthday cake from her Bday celebration and Sam and I made chocolate chocolate mint chip monster cookies! Yum. Stuffed ourselves and then Ben and Sam made origami while I painted Rita’s lovely, pregnant belly.
Yay! Happy birthday Rita! And hurray for summer goodness…

My friend Matt hired me to paint him a Cityscape shirt for his Seacompression outfit.
Love the way it turned out! He had fun dancing the night away in it and a lot of folks thought it was a real shirt! And I must admit, it’s nice to actually get PAID to make something beautiful once in a while.

Painted the gorgeous(and soon to birth a baby girl) KC at the Little Red Studio Gold Show on friday. Felt good to get my paint on after a long and annoying hiatus.

My son’s school had a rockin’ fundraiser festival today-Whistlepig!

So much fun! And they kept me busy too, lining up for cuffs-I barely had time to sneak off and dancedancedance to the awesome tunes of 17th Chapter!
So, I HAD planned to do three silk/lace mache dresses on Rita for SEAF, but some over zealous volunteer ‘cleaned up’ and apparently threw away our bag of silk and lace pieces that we’d cut up for the dress-making(along with my scissors and pasties)! Grack!
The only fabric and paint dress I ended up making was this sparkly little silver number:
The rest of the performances I had to resort to paint only. Sigh, all those lovely little lacey, silky scraps trashed! Mrrrggghhhh.
