Switch!

Sunday, June 15th, 2008

Rita(one of my favorite bodypainting models) and I are always hearing how alike we look, so we decided to play switcheroo at the last Gold show.

She dressed up in my painter gear and I dressed down(to the bare essentials) as her model, did our hair in identical pigtails and she painted me! It was too fun and so interesting to be the painted one, for a change. And, goddamn, she looks hawt in my painty gear!

Not bad for her first time, huh?

Beltaine beauties

Monday, May 5th, 2008

My friend Danni asked me to do a bodypainting performance(or two, or three…) at a fabulous fundraiser party she put together for Bloop last weekend!

Woot! What a party! Trays of lobster, smoked salmon and fine chocolates floated about, the music was awesome, the drinks amazing and truly libidinous, the dance floor was rockin’ and there was massage and all kinds of snuggly, kissin’ corners as Bloop is famous for… ;)

It was so much fun to bodypaint to the delicious sounds of Heather on the harp and John on cello, plus some foxy, stripey girl who joined in all impromptulicious on her violin. :)

Rita was my first victim(sorry the lighting is gawdawful).

Then later on, after we’d liberally sampled the loverly cocktails, it was time for Matt and Eva to step up-so much fun to paint a couple together! They swiftly became Beltaine cherry trees and Molly read a scientifically sexy poem while I added the finishing touches-embellishing Eva’s nipple ring barbells with cherry red paint. :)

Much dancing later, Chris caught me on my way towards the door, a sweet thing in his wake, begging for paint… I couldn’t leave a lovely lady unsatisfied, so Cicci got her beltaine fire(again, the lighting sucked for pictures.. Sorry) lit.

Aaaah, Artathon.

Yum.

The LRS Artathon was so delicious, dazzling, fun and fulfilling. I painted(canvases and bodies), sculpted, danced, snuggled, met awesome artists, gaped at gorgeous/hilarious performances, savoured scrumptious Kim snacks and generally foxed and frolicked the night away.

Two major bodypaintings emerged-the first was truly a first, Jim bound Sophia in a terribly sacriligious and sexy crucifixion-like suspension. So, I painted her while she hung from the ceiling! It was intense and despite my nefarious tendency to enjoy the squeals(nobody squeals like Sophie) she made as the cold paint went on, the experience underlined my serious lack of topness. ;) Still waiting on the pretty, pretty pics from the folks who took ‘em.

The second was one of my very favorite moments, Rita and I’d crashed out in the warm heights of the DJ loft around 4am… We woke up all snugglyhappy a little before 8, to early morning sounds of sleepy conversations, grinned happily at each other, hopped down the ladder, gathered my paints and took over the main stage for a lovely, dreamy Fire and Water bodypainting session while Donn played guitar and sang us accompaniment.

aaah

So luscious.

Thank you Rita, lovely Rita. And thank you, succulent Sophia and Jim and Kim(damn that mango salsa was the bomb!) and Lucy and Cher and Courtnee(so good to see you radiant and blooming) and Kerry and Clayton… To all the wonderful people I shared precious, inspired moments with and of course to Jeff-our rockin’ chieftain!

Bummed I missed the closing ceremony, but I had a nice goofy sunday evening at home with silly, awesome kids and I just felt so juiced and ‘xhausted at the same time. A particularly delightful feeling of tired and wired and just so GODDAMN HAPPY to know you’re all out there doing your wacky, wild, wonderful thing.

SEAFy goodness

Our performance at SEAF was incredibly beautiful, if terribly chilly for my brave God and Goddesses.

What a scrumptious evening, all sorts of mad delicious artifying, crazy costumes and outrageous dancing. Plus my foxy Snow King(no, he’s not a frog) made it back into town for a sweet little visit, after all his perilous icey adventures.

All in all, a delicious week.

If you don’t mind digging through all the other lovely performances, you can find more pics here. :)

Picasso sur la femme

Monday, January 14th, 2008

I painted an homage to Picasso on the fabulous Miss Nan at the Little Red Studio’s Gold Show friday. She wore it all night as we danced and reveled and feasted the evening away.

I love the way the back turned out! More Nantastic pics here.

Nan back

I think the old man would have approved.

Scrumptious weekend, part one: The Gargoyling.

Wednesday, December 19th, 2007

I had a thoroughly delicious weekend.

My new paramour{blush}, Delayne, came to town and I turned him into a gargoyle at the Little Red Studio’s Black Show.

Gargoyle

It was such a luscious evening… The show was terrific, with the gorgeous Mz Sophia flying high in her sumptuous bondage aerial act with the incredibly ropetastic Jim Duvall, amazing performances by Nan as the angel of Death and all kindsa yummy booty-shakin’. Not that we witnessed much of the show-we were too busy luxuriating in the gargoyliscious transformation. I’d spent the previous weeks creating a set of black silk tattered wings and horns affixed to a black wig fashioned into dread braids entwined with dead morning glory vines. During the opening tableau of the show, I painted Delayne with clay slip while he perched on a pedestal. As I covered each part of him, he froze into stone, bit by bit. It was exquisite and well, damnably hot-despite the coldness of the slippery, gooey clay. I LOVE how it all worked out… We got tons of compliments, he in his clay and I in my red wig and white gauze wrap bound on with red bondage twine. I think I pulled off looking all solemn and mournful too, stifling my giggles of surreptitious mirth and delight at turning a stone sculptor into a stone sculpture. ;)

See more delectable Delayne here.

Stained glass minidress

Sunday, November 11th, 2007

The Little Red Studio’s Gold Show last night was dazzling fun.

Stained glass Sophie

I painted a surreal stained glass effect minidress on the fabulous Sophie! I love the way it came out. Especially the hemline.

Harley Quinn!

Batman’s bad girl… Nee did her own hair/hood, I painted the rest.

Harley Quinn

Can’t wait ’til Nick sends me his pics of this. For now you’ll have to be content with my somewhat blurry set.

Quinn and me

Halloween at LRS was soooo fun! Not only did I paint this fabulous, foxy comic book character, but I had my debut performance with Cody and Paul! Whoohoooo! I’ve been wanting to perform with that girl ever since I first saw her dance a year ago..

We did a dark fairy forest ritual-Paul was our boy sacrifice-it was a madsexy bacchanalia-we poured wine and squashed pears, grapes and pomogranites all over him. Mmmmmm…. Wait ’til you see Nick’s pics! So damn hot!

Dancing the paint on

Monday, October 8th, 2007

The first Little Red Studio Gold show went brilliantly.

I painted my friend Rita while her husband Ben played us a lovely impromptu piano solo-we danced the paint on… It was sooooo sweet!

Sophia and I did a bodypainting performance for Ben’s birthday last week.

We couldn’t resist the cheesecakey shot of the firegoddess with Ben’s orange crotchrocket motorcycle-the ‘outfit’ went so well… And hey, ya only turn thirty once!

Happy birthday Ben!
