Sam was at his dad’s for Easter, so I decided to paint an egg just for myself.

The dancer was inspired by this lovely photo.

Owl painting, finished!

The Master’s calligraphy had risen into the night, a Great Horned Owl(!) and flown majestically off to warn the Kingdom of the invasion. Sheldrake couldn’t help but be disappointed when; after all his incantations and careful study; his strokes curled, rose on stubby, awkward wings and flapped back towards the barn.

Painted this in my sketchbook last week in an evening of supreme inspiration, finished it on the full moon and posted it on Fb and within an hour, two friends were vying to buy it!

I shall have to catch up, now that I’m feeling alive again.

2010 hit me like a ill windstorm. Been sick for four months, not even up to working, so my wallet’s illin’ too. But starting to feel better now-yay for actually being able to sleep at night! And I did get several paintings painted and lots of illustrations and inspirations, so it wasn’t all bad.

Pomegranate magic.

Cat Feather Cloak. From a dream I had wherein a momkitty shed multi-hued feathers and they settled around me and formed a cloak.

In other, more auspicious news, Sam and I moved to an awesome new home in the top of a pretty yellow and red house near Greenlake and I’m planning my new garden.

I made antlers(here I must confess I stoled the idea from my friend Seb) and painted trees on a silk slip to create my Halloween costume this year.

I also made an alternative set of horns, which Sam and I goofed off in later…

It was a really fun Halloween.. There was much partying, awesome costumage and much snuggling at Rita and Ben’s house and then I danced the night away at Pheralia with a dead guy and a pirate.

I love this event! How could I not?

24 hours of art-making madness with my wonderful, creative, wackyass friends and community?

I had so much fun this year. I drew/painted four lovely works on paper..

..and bodypainted the lovely Kerry:
