Slices of bread lying under the kitchen table: “…”
Sam, picking them up mournfully: “They don’t look too dirty, can’t we still eat them?”
Me: “They’ve been on the floor since you made your lunch LAST NIGHT. That’s just a *bit* too far past the two-second rule.”
Sam: “We could wash them.”
Me: “If you wash dirty bread, you don’t get clean bread, you get soggy dirt on soggy bread.”
Sam: “Can we put them on the altar?”
Me: “You offer the best of what you have on the altar, not bread that’s been on the floor all night.”
Sam: “They could have their own altar.”
Slices of bread: “Bow down, insignificant humans!”
My awesome friends Julia and Stu, the Garden Elves, put in a fab new garden box for me down on the curbside strip.

So excited! So healing to get my hands back in the rich, dark earth and plant pretty baby plants again! Sam got this excellent picture of me watering with sunlight.

Right after he went ninjawacky with the mallet. Mwahahaha!

Watch out neighborhood!
Many grateful hugs to the garden elves for breaking sod for me and creating such a lovely garden for us.

I love it when the autumn temperatures drop and the trees blaze!
More pics of flametrees(and bagelly silliness) on flickr.
I must admit, I do love my new White Wave steam cleaner, it’s been one of the benefits(and a mighty weapon) in my battle against the bugs.
Sam loves it too(nothing like a tool that looks like a ray gun and shoots tons of steam to get my boy to help clean).
More steamy(literally) pics here.
Btw, we are out of the House of Doom! YAY!!
Still have a tent full of bagged stuff to freeze, but it sure feels good to be outta there!
Yay shiny clean car!
Sam and I go for a scramble in the mucky gulches down at Matthew’s Beach Park and then find the perfect pole-vaulting stick!
Obviously, mayhem ensues.
Flickr’d pics here.
Sam and I go wiggy over our new cameraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-new to us anyway. Bought it used, a Canon PowerShot A650 IS.. Great fun so far, though I’m definitely going to need to buy a new memory card-this one only takes 5 pictures at a time! Sheesh.
*happy new camera dance!*
