Beltaine beauties

Monday, May 5th, 2008

My friend Danni asked me to do a bodypainting performance(or two, or three…) at a fabulous fundraiser party she put together for Bloop last weekend!

Woot! What a party! Trays of lobster, smoked salmon and fine chocolates floated about, the music was awesome, the drinks amazing and truly libidinous, the dance floor was rockin’ and there was massage and all kinds of snuggly, kissin’ corners as Bloop is famous for… ;)

It was so much fun to bodypaint to the delicious sounds of Heather on the harp and John on cello, plus some foxy, stripey girl who joined in all impromptulicious on her violin. :)

Rita was my first victim(sorry the lighting is gawdawful).

Then later on, after we’d liberally sampled the loverly cocktails, it was time for Matt and Eva to step up-so much fun to paint a couple together! They swiftly became Beltaine cherry trees and Molly read a scientifically sexy poem while I added the finishing touches-embellishing Eva’s nipple ring barbells with cherry red paint. :)

Much dancing later, Chris caught me on my way towards the door, a sweet thing in his wake, begging for paint… I couldn’t leave a lovely lady unsatisfied, so Cicci got her beltaine fire(again, the lighting sucked for pictures.. Sorry) lit.

Birthday delights

Saturday, March 8th, 2008

I may be one dirtass po’ starvin’ artist, but I’m richer than Gates and Buffett put together when it comes to sterling friends, precious family, sparklovely gifts and… Lovely, blank white canvases aching to be splooshed with luscious color-thanks to my rockin’ momma!

My birthday eve, I celebrated butohlisciously with my kickass girlfriends Cody, Sharon and Rita-and Sheri, somewhat vicariously, as she was fully in butoh mode and probably didn’t even know I was there. :) Love you Sheri, you are a truly amazing dancer.

We wandered around the downtown artwalk scene, committing impromptu acts of streetcorner performance brilliance(Go Sharon!) yakkin’, debating the mostly dubious merits of the dismayingly popular buttplugugly art and taking random pictures perched in strange places.

Aaaah… Sweet girl time.

Today, the actual day that my long-suffering momma pushed me out into this bizarre world as my anxious sister grated the heads off of the roses my dad bought against the hospital wall, I painted and painted and painted! Yayz! Then I ran out of canvas..

..An’ my generous momma took me to the art store where I piled mountains of pretty white squares and rectangles on our cart, all innocently agleam in their shiney plastic wrap, waiting in eager anticipation, or perhaps, silent trepidation for me to take them home and despoil them.

Mwahhahahahahaha!!!

I am one lucky, lucky woman.

Seriously.

Thank you all, for the birthday love.

SEAFy goodness

Our performance at SEAF was incredibly beautiful, if terribly chilly for my brave God and Goddesses.

What a scrumptious evening, all sorts of mad delicious artifying, crazy costumes and outrageous dancing. Plus my foxy Snow King(no, he’s not a frog) made it back into town for a sweet little visit, after all his perilous icey adventures.

All in all, a delicious week.

If you don’t mind digging through all the other lovely performances, you can find more pics here. :)

My christmas sylph

Friday, December 28th, 2007

What a great christmas!-not only did my wonderful household hold a sumptuous feast and give/receive tons of glorious booty, but my favorite woodland sylph, Sophie, unexpectedly came to visit me.

slyph and dryad

We had such a delicious, whirling, dancing, drawing, sketchin’, rompin’, stompin’, cuddlin’, heart-to-heart talkin’, kissin’, art-filled visit. Aaaaaaaaah, girl time, precious, precious girl time!

Xmas day even blessed us with a tiny snow storm that lasted just long enough to go for a walk in and then magically melted away.

Red Vinyl Solstice

Monday, December 24th, 2007

Sophie bought me a slinky new dress. It’s been hanging at the entrance to my eyrie, whispering sultry red vinyl suggestions to me everytime I walk by… Solstice seemed like the the perfect time to slip it on. Click on the pictures to enlarge.

We feasted and danced and rang in the solstice with Seattle’s merry pagans. Jeff Hengst had his giant triptych displayed(with a curtain to protect the innocent) behind a set of two fire and ice sculptures(created by Peter Toms)-large rectangles of ice with fire blazing inside! It was a gorgeous effect.

The ceremony was fabulous, with much drumming and dancing and swooping of owls and other fabulous creatures…

owl

It crescendoed with the burning of the intentions tree. A whirl of dancers lit the tree in a swiftly swirling dance with burning torches.

Very pretty and dramatic-got us up and roaring and stomping and shakin’ our booties-a fine solstice indeed!

Scrumptious weekend, part one: The Gargoyling.

Wednesday, December 19th, 2007

I had a thoroughly delicious weekend.

My new paramour{blush}, Delayne, came to town and I turned him into a gargoyle at the Little Red Studio’s Black Show.

Gargoyle

It was such a luscious evening… The show was terrific, with the gorgeous Mz Sophia flying high in her sumptuous bondage aerial act with the incredibly ropetastic Jim Duvall, amazing performances by Nan as the angel of Death and all kindsa yummy booty-shakin’. Not that we witnessed much of the show-we were too busy luxuriating in the gargoyliscious transformation. I’d spent the previous weeks creating a set of black silk tattered wings and horns affixed to a black wig fashioned into dread braids entwined with dead morning glory vines. During the opening tableau of the show, I painted Delayne with clay slip while he perched on a pedestal. As I covered each part of him, he froze into stone, bit by bit. It was exquisite and well, damnably hot-despite the coldness of the slippery, gooey clay. I LOVE how it all worked out… We got tons of compliments, he in his clay and I in my red wig and white gauze wrap bound on with red bondage twine. I think I pulled off looking all solemn and mournful too, stifling my giggles of surreptitious mirth and delight at turning a stone sculptor into a stone sculpture. ;)

Dark Fairies and their foxy boy sacrifice

Dark fairies

OHMYGOD! Nick finally got his photos to me!

Hot damn, did they ever come out fantabufrickinfingerlickinliscious!

This is the photoshoot of the Halloween performance Cody, Paul and I did. Two wicked(if somewhat silly) forest fairies discover a cute boy in their woods and capture him for their ritual.

Dark Fairies and their foxy boy sacrifice

We dragged him onstage, muffled in a blanket and tied hand and foot, spread him out, ‘drugged’ him with fairy wine from our carven silver pitcher and decorated him gleefully in fruit…

Then Sophia-a fairy of a much higher caliber of dark knowledge, brings us a pomagranite-eeeeeee!(pomagranites are a well-known fairy intoxicant and aphrodisiac)… We’re scared, and excited and the excitement wins! We tear the luscious sparkling fruit into spattering, mouth-watering pieces and devour it, becoming more and more inebriated, turning to our sacrificial boy, we go wild, smashing fruit all over him, pouring wine on his body, top to toe, licking and grasping… Then grabbing the wine jug(forgetting we’ve drugged it) we pour it into each other’s mouths and giggle-just before passing out on top of him.

The three of us lie there, in a tangled sticky heap, until Paul wakes up and gasps at the sight of fruit and fairies sprawled all over him-waking us up too, we freak out and leap up, fluttering and flittering about the stage, trying to escape…

We rush to the edge of the stage, holding onto each other, looking back at him for a flustered moment-he stares at us, assessing the situation and his realization of what must have occurred spreads a slow grin across his face-we shriek and run, he chases us off stage!

Finit.

It was such a sumptuous fabulous night.

Goddamn, the pics are hot.

Thanks Nick. And thanks, Cody and Paul, you guys are such awesome friends-and so foxy and fun and delovely to dance with.

As the rapier-beaked heron stands guard in the dazzling waterlily field on the lake, a satyr met a swamp dryad, and it was all terribly, terribly picturesque, so…

dc

…luckily, she had a camera handy, and he’s handy with a camera. :)

Love the swampgreen water. Not quite so fond of the sticky, gluey muck beneath. :P
