Easier said then done, though. Took plant out, moved fridge, caulked windowsill cracks(where they were emerging from, in a steady little egg-toting train) and tried to transplant the poor plant, but it’s absolutely riddled with ants. Sigh. I stabbed it up a bit and gave them a day to deport themselves, but everytime I checked it, more ants came rushing out, so I’ve dunked the whole thing in a pot of water and there it sits, ’til they’re all gone to ant heaven.

Hope my plant survives.

I was thinking(waytoohard) and the sun was blazing in my eyes and I just didn’t see that damn light go red, couldn’t stop in time not to smack into an Accord. Managed to drive to the gas station at the intersection and park.

Luckily no one was seriously injured(though my life is now a blur of chiropractic adjustments, massage and creaky, unhappy joints and muscles), but since I was too broke to afford collision last time the bills rolled around, I’m carless in Seattle.

Boo.

My week has been a blurr of laundromats, trips to my newly rented storage unit and bagging stuff up for the freezer. Whee! Summer fun. Meh.

Pray for sun, OK? And perhaps a luckdragon-I’d appreciate an upswing on the luck front right about now.

The house we just moved into-yes, the awesome Wallingford home I was so happy with and proud of… had BEDBUGS!

Nasty, bloodsucking, nigh-invisible little bastidges-it’s a complete and utter sucking disaster. The landlord fumigated twice and they were still biting us, so here, a month after we moved in, we are moving out! Not just moving out, but we have to freeze, steam clean, launder, or destroy all our worldly possessions to get rid of the demonic little buggers.

Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Not to mention I’m in debt up to my ass already from having rented a place I needed housemates to afford and then couldn’t find housemates on account of the bugs/fumigation.

Life is SO not made of awesome.

Sigh. Where’s Don Quixote when I need him? He’d soon send the looming piles of files, masks, paint, massage cushions, wings, sketchbooks, carpet remnants and other detritus skittering back to the hell from whence they oozed!

I haven’t felt so dumbassedy embarrassed in a long time. Bleargh.

Seriously, I’m psyched to have a gallery show and it’s going to be a super lovely opening with all kinds of wonderful performances and yummy food and the paintings look so nice now that they’re hung.. but man, am I a stressball! It will be good to have it all done, done, done.

Sunday is the big day. Then I need a week of nothing. A week to just fizzle out and not have to remember anything, plan anything, photoshop anything, type anything, create anything..

Keep your fingers crossed, OK? I don’t want anything else major to slip through the cracks of my overwhelm.
