just a suggestion

If you're feeling snacky and you go to the cupboard and see nothing but a box of crackers, a jar of soynut butter and a bag of suspiciously old chocolate chips, I really don't recommend slathering the cracker with the nutbutter(beanbutter?), loading on the ol chips and melting it in the toaster oven.

But, if you're unstoppable, like me, then please don't get busy blogreading and burn the shit outta them.

But, if you do, then throw them away, don't turn the toaster oven down and try again, do the same damn thing over again and end up with crunchy, blackened hellsnacks.

But if you do, I definately don't recommend attempting to eat them anyway out of snacky desperation, because if you do, you will probably burn your tongue.

Like I did.

Ow.

Seriously Rzan, I just busted up laughing in the library and got several dirty looks. Damn you.

Ahh... it's amazing what you'll do to create something worth snacking on -
I can still remember the guys over at Dan's (mom's) so many years ago when we needed a snack and there was nothing worth snacking on, and we ended up with the following put together:
*Honey grahams
*american cheese
*jalepeno peppers
*ketchup

Not one of our better moments.

Hey now! I actually kind of liked that. I mean, it wasn't twizzlers and salsa but it did the job.
I think the last weird snacking moment I had was when I ate an entire jar of pickled herring.

Yikes! That sounds completely heinous-good thing there wasn't any marshmallow fluff to top it with.

Twizzlers and salsa? I'm starting to wonder about you guys...

Hey, Terra, sorry about that. But after the joke you guys played on Josh I should think a few dirty looks at the library are the least of your worries!

Bad, bad kiddies!

heehee-Daniel n I cracked up.

Just because you talked about, I think I'm going to have to try it, except with peanut butter. That and I wonder what marshmellow fluff would be like on the Twizzlers and Salsa... might help hold it all in place.

After re-reading these comments I suddenly am starving for pickled herring.

It was actually based on a fond memory of a favorite childhood snack of mine. Only it was graham crackers, not wheat soda crackers, peanut butter and the chips were much much fresher. It was so yummy. I'd arrange them in patterns, melt them and swirl them around in the nutbutter.

Of course, as a kid, I never burnt the heck out of them-in fact I was so excited about them, I'm surprised they ever had time to melt!

I think the marshmellow fluff might help hold the whole indigestible mass together, but you'd have a sticky, gooey wad... Maybe if you rolled it in Oreo cookie crumbs?

Bill, you sure you're not pregnant?

ahhh, so Josh told you about our joke, huh? Is he still traumatized? (can't help but laugh) geez.

The concept isn't too too horrifying... graham cracker + nuts + chocolate of any kind, old or not = an intriguing taste combination. Burninating kinda kicks that out the window, though. I choked on my tongue at the word "hellsnack." Excellent term. I'll have to find a way to add that into my lexicon.

Burninated hellsnacks...

I like that-I think we may have a new snackmarketing hit!

(Looking at gut) If I'm pregnant I think I'm in the 87th tri-mester....
